September Goals

Sooooo.... hi there. It's September already! (My birthday month!) I'm writing out my goals for the month here, today, because I never actually did that for August. Oops

I did make goals for June and July, however... and they're still really good goals! Let's evaluate how I did on my July goals: 

1. Stay within PointsPlus for the week: I've been doing really well with this one. I may have gone over 1 or 2 weeks since making it a goal, but I've definitely been much better with this. However, the actual nutrition of my food is somewhat inconsistent, so I think I need a little more accountability with that.

2. Exercise 3x per week: I've finally gotten back into the exercise groove, having exercised 4 days last week, and today marked 3 days this week. Obviously a week and a half isn't going to make a habit, so I'm going to keep this on the goal list and continue working on it. 

3. In bed by 11pm Sun-Thurs: I've been... okay... with this one. I'd say I'm probably at about 75% with this one, which I suppose isn't that bad. I'd like to do better though, especially since I'm waking up super early again to get my exercise in for the day. Still need to work on it!

4. Drink 100oz of water per day: I honestly have no idea how I'm doing with this one. I know I drink a lot of water, but I'm not certain of the exact amount. I'm going to make it a point to actually track it this month so I know for sure that I'm getting enough. 

So, without further ado, here are my goals for September!

1. Post my daily food journal on the blog. Even if I don't post every day, I'll post multiple days in one post if I need to. My hope is that this will help me stay accountable for my food choices, and get in the habit of consistently eating healthfully. 

2. Exercise at least 3x per week. Yep, keeping this one--I've gotten better, but I need to stay consistent and turn it into a habit again. 

3. Prepare everyone's lunches the night before. This has been a huge problem area for me since school started, so it's on the goal list! Mornings would go so much smoother if I didn't take 10-15 minutes to prepare mine and the kids' lunches every morning. 

4. Drink 100oz of water every day. I need to keep this one on the forefront. It's super important and really helps me lose the cravings (and the bloat!).

  1. Great goals! The lunch prep is something I could do. I am pretty good about taking my lunch to work, but it would be easier not to have to "figure it out" in the morning.

  2. Wonderful goals. Hopefully getting lunches ready the night before will make things less stressful in the morning. I know from personal experience that when you start the day off unhurriedly, everything else goes much more smoothly.

  3. I'm a firm believer goals are more attainable when we write them down. For me, it makes them more tangible & concrete. I've been logging my journey on Instagram but after reading your latest post perhaps I need to be blogging more instead
